It is a privilege to serve the Lord. We welcome all who love Jesus and would like to become more involved in the life of our church.
“Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.” Matthew 18:5
Bible Club
Calvary Kidz Bible Club meets every Friday from 5:00-6:30 PM. Currently, we are meeting at the Tobin Community Center in Roxbury. The Bible Club program is for children ages five to twelve years that live in housing developments in the Mission Hill area (e.g., Alice Heyward Taylor, Mission Main, etc.). Bible Club is dedicated to teaching the Word of God to these children through Bible lessons, games, and other activities. We also aim to be vessels of God's love through counseling children in the knowledge and hope of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. These children may or may not have any knowledge of Jesus, but this ministry hopes to plant seeds that God will increase.
If interested in serving in the Calvary Kidz Bible Club, contact Lisan at (901) 210-9774, or email her at lisanlparker@gmail.com.
Sunday Morning Bus Ministry
The Calvary Kidz Sunday morning bus ministry serves to provide children in the local communities (e.g., Alice Heyward Taylor) with easy access to church, so that they may grow in the knowledge of Christ. Jesus calls the little children unto him –“Let the little children come to Me and do not forbid them: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 19:14) Servants in this ministry help provide a means for the children to come to know Jesus in a more personal way through providing them rides to and from church, and sitting with them during morning worship. The children also attend Sunday school and fellowship with other children and believers to learn more about Christ’s love for them.

THE PROCLAIMERS YOUTH PRISON MINISTRY
The Proclaimers is a prison ministry which seeks to share the love of Christ by Bible teaching and by developing relationships with teenage boys incarcerated in the youth prisons of Boston.
"Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ – Matthew 25:37-40 The purpose of this ministry is to proclaim the gospel to youths incarcerated in Boston prisons. This occurs through systematic Bible teaching, individual and small group conversations, and prayer.
We currently minister to 2 units both of which are housed in the Judge John J. Connolly Youth Center at 450 Canterbury Street, Roslindale, MA 02131. This facility houses male youths aged 13 to 18+ who have been convicted of crimes requiring long term detention and rehabilitation. One study is on Tuesday nights from 8 – 9:30 p.m and the other is on Wednesday nights from 8 – 9:30 p.m.

Calvary Christian Family is an orphanage in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. CCF is a ministry of Calvary Chapel Port-au-Prince, with encouragement and support by Calvary Chapel In The City, to destitute orphans in Haiti. CCF currently houses twelve children and is located in Delmas, an upper section of Port-au-Prince, a short drive from Calvary Chapel Port-au-Prince. Rather than modeling other orphanages, it is our heart to raise these children in a CHRISTIAN FAMILY – a place where orphans, as soon as they enter the front door, are no longer orphans. The day-to-day needs of the ministry are being met by Haitian nationals from Calvary Chapel Port-au-Prince, who are employed in positions of teaching, administration, cooking, cleaning, and grounds-keeping. Calvary Chapel In The City in Boston provides direct financial oversight of this ministry and representatives of the church make routine trips to Haiti to serve the needs of the orphanage. It is our hope that this may be the first of more such Christian homes in Haiti.

We meet on Sunday mornings, 9:30-10:00 a.m., to pray for the service, our church, our community, missionaries, the Body of Christ and for whatever else is upon our hearts. All are welcome to attend and to pray openly or to themselves, and can come-and-go during the prayer time. Our desire is to be led by God’s Spirit in all aspects of prayer – praise, intercession, petition and confession – as we come into His presence.
Our street witnessing team meets April through October each Saturday night at 7:00 p.m.
With street witnessing, or street evangelism, we act upon Jesus’ commandment to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” in Mark 16:15. Usually, we start each session with a time of prayer and a brief Bible teaching, and then walk to a public area and hand out tracts. We return by 9 p.m. to debrief and to pray for the people we spoke with. If you want to get involved in witnessing, but are afraid, don’t worry — we typically split up into pairs and the inexperienced can let their partner do the talking. Even if you don't believe you have the gifting or calling for street evangelism, this is the training place for you to share your faith to family, friends and co-workers.
Each spring, an evangelism training class is taught to to equip Christians to teach the gospel. Click here to download the workbook

YOUTH GROUP (Age 13 – Grade 12)
Youth Group meets the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month during the evening service at the church. The most important objective of the group is to know God. Jesus said in John 17:3, "And THIS is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent" (NKJV). So, the group seeks to know Him in a deep and intimate way through worship, Bible study, and fellowship. Another important objective of the group is discipleship. Matthew 28:19,20 says, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (NKJV). The youth are not only edified and equipped through Bible studies and fellowship activities, but they also learn to serve in activities such as community outreaches and evangelism.

ROCK THE WORLD CHILDREN'S MINISTRY (AGES 4-12)
"And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord and great shall be the peace of thy children." Isaiah 54:13
The Rock The World Children's Ministry meets every Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. (children are dismissed to the ministry after the worship service). The Rock The World ministry seeks to plant the Word of God into the hearts of our children and to direct them towards their own personal relationships with Jesus Christ. Scriptures are taught in depth each week surrounding a central theme; this year our theme is Commands of Jesus!
Currently our theme is the Commands of Jesus. We are studying Jesus' commands to the believers of the early church, such as: Love your neighbor as yourself and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind.
Children memorize Bible verses, on a weekly basis, that connect with the current theme. We also engage in prayer, reflection activities and small group discussions about their verse of the week. Rock The World also incorporates an activities component, which includes games, drama and music, as a means of providing a fun and lively way to engage in the practice of Christian living and fellowship. Our aim is to grow the children in their individual walks with the Lord Jesus Christ; and to support their growth in His love and mercy.

"Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You? And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.' Matthew 25:39-40 The Lord has placed our church in the center of the Longwood hospital district. We believe that this has been done for a specific purpose. It is our desire to offer hope, Christian support and prayer to this community. We would like to be a blessing to the patients, the patient’s families, and the doctors' who care for them. The visitation ministry is open to all who know Jesus and have a desire to share His love.
