what we believe

Apostles Creed

We believe that it embodies all the fundamental doctrines of Biblical Christianity.

The Trinity

We believe in the One living and true God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

God the Father

We believe in God the Father, an omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent Spirit, who is perfectly holy, righteous, good, and loving. We believe He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, hears and answers prayer, and saves from eternal death all that come to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ, fully Son of God and Son of Man, is God’s only begotten Son. We believe in His virgin birth conceived by the Holy Spirit, sinless life, miracles and teachings, substitutionary and atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal, visible return to earth.

Holy Spirit

We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit, that He was sent from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. We believe that He regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers. We believe that He indwells every believer in Jesus Christ as an abiding Helper. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and the exercise of Spiritual gifts as reflected through the fruit of the Spirit.

Holy Scriptures

We believe that the Old and New Testaments are the sole inspired Word of God; inerrant in the autographs and infallible as the rule of faith and practice.

Salvation

We believe that by nature all people are responsible for their sins and separated from God. We believe that if a person repents of their sins and accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, truly trusting, loving, and following Him, then they are immediately born again, forgiven, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and saved. They are then guaranteed to spend eternity in a living, loving, and joyous relationship with the Lord. For more information see our Salvation page.

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ

We believe in a pre-tribulation rapture of the Church and a literal Second Coming of Jesus Christ to rule on earth. This motivates us to holy living, heartfelt worship, committed service, diligent study of the Bible, and regular fellowship with the body.

The Universal Church

We believe in the universal Church, a living spiritual body of which Jesus Christ is the head and all born again persons are members.

Ordinances

We believe that Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the Church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe in believer’s baptism by immersion and communion in remembrance of Jesus Christ’s atoning death on the cross.

Laying on of Hands

We believe in the laying on of hands for sending out pastors and missionaries and as well as the anointing of oil by the elders for healing the sick.

Doctrine

We believe in adhering firmly to the biblical teaching of God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility. We are neither Five-Point Calvinists nor Arminians. We avoid theological systems of belief that go beyond the written Word and divide the body of Christ.
